About the Event

A travel blogger is someone who travels around the world collecting material for writing about their travel experiences, deriving income from a variety of on-line and off-line sources.

They are also freelance writers who maintain their own blog site and attempts to derive income from the value in their written articles and features.

They will also usually be required to upload good quality photography to illustrate the pieces.

Kimberley Krieger, runs a highly authentic Instagram page inspiring you to live a healthy lifestyle, travel the world, and to follow your dreams.

Nutrition Health Coach born in Miami, Florida, raised in Windhoek, Namibia, and schooled in Frankfurt, Germany Krieger is also a certified holistic health coach, trained by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition while living in Switzerland.

She has also been trained by Matthew Kenny Culinary School in the USA, bringing you healthy recipe ideas straight to your kitchen each and every week.

“I believe a big part of our overall health and well-being is determined by how open we are to exploring new and foreign cultures & countries.” She says.

On her Instagram stories, she takes you along her daily travel adventures. The good, the bad, the fails, all real and unfiltered. Some of the traits include not being camera shy.

She further mentions being a blogger is a very new and foreign career title. You will need a lot of patience with others when explaining what you do for a living and how you can make money while doing so.

“Of course, consistency on social media is key. You will need strong self-determination to do this as a job. You need to show up each and every day for your followers no matter what your mood is like that day.

You need to be authentic and real to stay true to your core values. Don’t simply promote and work for companies just for the money. You need to be creative storyteller. To keep the retention rate on your page high, you need to keep your followers interested and engaged whenever you are posting online.” Krieger further explains.

A con according to Krieger is that social media is very competitive.

Her favourite place she has visited so far is Namibia.
